Were there a couple of weeks ago. Yes, south road is in good condition. Just a few semi-rough spots to watch for. The no-see-ums are really bad this year. Deet will not work. A new product (a couple of years old) by Coleman with an European repellent does. We have used it on two trips down and we were the only ones with just a couple of bites while everyone else was covered with bites. Coleman SkinSmart can be found at Walmart in USA for around $6 USD. One can will last a week on a single person. We tried to find it South of the border on earlier trip when we started to run out but without success. Get it before you cross into MX.
