Both North Carolina and the Central Florida Expressway (Toll system) have transponders that work on all systems where EZ-Pass works, plus NC, GA, and all toll systems in Florida (Sun Pass, and E-Pass). The CFX pass is known as E-Pass. Their transponder that works along the entire East Coast and out to Illinois is called E-Pass Xtra. I have that one for both my truck (& trailer) and car. I've only used it on the West Virginia Turnpike so far, and it worked flawlessly.
Florida doesn't have one toll road system like most other states. It has two. And to complicate matters, in central Florida (Orlando area) where it seems most of the tolls roads in Florida exist, both the Central Florida Expressway and the Florida Toll road system run by FDOT not only co-exist, but share the same road. One system will end and the other begin on the same numbered highway. FDOT uses the Sun Pass system for toll collections.
State route 417 being the prime example of both systems using the same road bed. The northern end and southern end are Fla Toll roads (Sun Pass), while the central part is a Central Florida Expressway system (E-Pass).

I have enough trouble keeping track of my one ez-pass. Does anyone know what the surcharge is if you don’t have one and they send an invoice? Their web site doesn’t make that very obvious.
