traveler's medical insurance for eastern Canada

We plan to spend several weeks in eastern Canada in August and September where we will not be covered by our Medicare medical insurance. I looked up "traveler's medical insurance Canada" and found several listings. "TuGo" had the lowest rates.

Our ages are 79 and 86. We would welcome some input before selecting a policy.
  • We used to use TUGO for travel to the U.S. My wife had a small claim for a minor medical issue a couple of years ago and it was handled quickly and efficiently. The only reason we no longer use them is that I am now eligible for a discounted plan through my former employer.
  • We've used Seven Corners for out of country coverage. I thought it was pretty reasonable. Happy to say we never had to use it!
  • if you have a supplement it may cover your medical.

medicare does NOT cover anyone out of the US. many times people don't realize this in mexico.
  • My wife uses TuGO when we travel in the USA.

She's had some health issues (broken wrist) and was happy with how they handled it.
  • We purchased travel insurance from this company for a three month stay in Canada:
