US95 North of Needles, CA Closed 5/14-17

I just came across this on the Nevada DOT website:

"Beginning Monday, May 14th through May 17th, US95 will be closed in both directions at Goff's Rd in Needles, CA

DI-Beginning Monday, May 14th from 6pm until 6am Tuesday May 15th, and then again, May 15th from 6pm to 6am May 17th, all lanes in both directions on US95 will be closed at Goff’s Road in Needles, please follow posted detours; and expect traffic delays.

As long as there is a detour, shouldn't be a problem. I was thinking Goff's was in CA. Thanks for the info.

Yes, this project is in CA and when I saw it on the Nevada DOT website it was in a banner so it was really obvious. I went to the CALTRAN website and spent a few minutes and never did find it.

It's going to be interesting where they put the detour as there are no other paved roads close that could be used. My guess is you would have to go to Needles (about 13 miles) and take the River Road to Laughlin then back to 95.
  • Goffs rd is where the Train tracks cross 95 just North of I-40 on the way to Vegas. They are probably changing the asphalt that crosses the tracks.
  • Thanks DK.

Looks like travel goes on OK during the day and that is when we usually travel.
