Vegas to DV

What is the preferred route to enter DV from Vegas to see the sights? Not sure if I need to come in on 178 or 190. On first glance it appears you can get to quite a lot of places via 190. Is there enough to see to justify coming in on 178? I realize fuel is a concern as is poor cell phone/GPS service, that's why I am asking for your thoughts. Thanks for the help.

    Rt. 160, Blue Diamond Highway (off I-15) to Pahrump then what Dkruezen posted. Also Bass Pro just off 160 near I-15, Shady Lady and Chicken Ranch on Homested Ave. in Pahrump.

    The CA178 route is out of the way. From north Pahrump take Bell Vista Ave to CA127 then CA190 into the DV, it will be the shortest.

    When I visit DV from Las Vegas, I go over to Pahrump, NV and head to DV from there. Fill up with fuel and supplies in Pahrump.
