Visiting Dallas TX

Part of our trip this year will be near Dallas City.
Need advise to find the best and easy way to visit the main attractions in the city:
Option A-leave to 5W in a C.G and drive with the truck to the city
Option B- Use public transportation to enter the city.
Ofcourse there are pro and cons to each option, but people that did it can sure help with advise.

That is a very interesting statement. I have to wonder:
1. How do you know the person will really be a local student and not a criminal to rob you?
2. How to you go about finding a local student?

It seems to me Uber or Lyft make more sense.

Our son lives in Ft Worth. We stayed at Hickory Creek, which is an Army Corps of Engineers Campground on Lewisville Lake. if you have the Senior Pass, it is $19 a night for water and electric. Many sites are on the lake.It is close to I-35 which is kind of a loop around Dallas/Ft Worth.Traffic is very heavy at most times. The Ft Worth Zoo is very nice.

Dallas is not public transit friendly when it comes to tourism. It is very congested and the tourist attractions you wish to visit are likely to be many miles apart. There are also very few (realistically none) campgrounds or RV parks in the metro area. The parks that exist are mostly in the outer suburbs. You need to do some pretty extensive planning for this endeavor to be enjoyable rather than a life sapping slog.

Just FYI, "Dallas" is HUGE - the Metroplex is the size of the state of Connecticut. We lived in the west fringes for 12 years. It took us 2 hours to get across to the east side Dallas city limits.

Research what you want to see and go from there, especially to choose a park. You don't want to be fighting with commuter traffic.
