melaque in spring, but i take my time. if i lead a fall caravan this season, it will be zacatecas & other interior colonial cities & the monarch reserve, but I generally do a long stay in Melaque in spring.

Crossing at Columbia bridge second week of November. Heading to La Penita for 4 months.

Stayed in La Paz this year through the summer. It is wetter than normal - but also cooler than we expected (and the locals tell us cooler than normal). In fact, I am sitting here with just a fan going.The Baja is getting REALLY green and lush - hopefully, the storms will bring only rain and no destruction.Sitting out on the patio each evening with a cold cerveza watching the sunset over Bahia de La Paz is just unbeatable.

Crossing at Lukeville 24 Oct, arriving at La Peñita RV park 30 Oct. Staying 'till end of March 2015 with several side trips to San Blas, Guadalahara, maybe Morelia and Patzquaro.

We exited at Lukeville last year....so we are thinking of entering there instead of Nogales. Question.....has anyone heard if you can do everything at Caborca....ie. vehicle permits and FMM.....or.....get your FMM's at 228Km. North...South 26km.????, and then carry on to Caborca for the vehicle decals

If you enter at Lukeville, you can get your FMM
right at the border, on your right as soon as you cross. Parking is limited though. You can also get it at the old place at San Emiterio, 27 km from the border. The Aduenda for your TIP is in Pitiquito, just over the hill from Caborca, it is 99 miles from the border, (I checked it last year). We usually spend the day before in Lukeville and drive down, park on the US side, and walk across and get our FMM.
