Winnemucca, NV to Las Vegas

I'm hoping to go to Winnemucca or Battle Mountain for the annular solar eclipse in October. After that, I'll be driving to Las Vegas. Wondering how Hwys 305 and 376 are south from Battle Mountain? I've driven the RV on 95, 93, and 50 in Nevada. Are these about the same....desolate pretty good condition, easy driving two lane roads with a few wide spots to pull over once in awhile? Anything I should know about them?

Wow! I had to look that up. Interesting! Hopefully they will be gone by October!

We hit hordes of Mormon Crickets walking across the road before and after Austin going north. Kind of spooky, but not as many to make the road slick.
