With fuel prices dropping....

Prices are currently 1/2 of what they were when I planned the trip we couldn't do last year; seems a no brainer to try again this year. And with lots of extra spending money...

How are the Canadian prices?

what are the diesel prices in Alaska and Canada now?
I know this is winter and diesel fuel prices are normally higher, but what do you think they might be in June / July ??
When we were up there in 2004 diesel in Alaska was about $1.80 or so per gallon. If I remember correctly we paid the most in Canada, in Dawson city at about .86 per liter. The most we paid in the US / Alaska was in Bellingham, WA. at $2.08 per gallon.
Here in NC at the present time diesel is about $2.85 per gallon with regular gas at $2.15 per gallon. I know there are many places were both diesel and gas are much cheaper. But in our local area we have two distributors who control the prices.

we are 2.99 for gas and 3.40 for diesel. I sure plan on doing the denali highway again and I hope I can get enough of a crew to float the yukon from Eagle to Circle.
Our fuel prices will go down some more but it is so slow.
