Yukon Road Conditions

Here is a convenient method to get the most current road conditions for Yukon roads and highways on your smartphone:

- Open your Facebook Messenger and search for Yukonroadbot
- Say or type Hi or whatever to start a conversation
- If you don't now the highway names just say or type names
- Say or type the number or road name to get the current road conditions

    Just came up from Liard. One long stretch of gravel and a few short ones. Very dusty and scary -- driving on instruments. Resurfacing one stretch and 20 minute delay.

    Assuming everyone's on FaceBook. 511 is nearly universal for road consitions.

    If you rely upon a computer's web browser, I agree with you. On a smartphone, Yukon511 is not that intuitive.

    However, the integration of this chatbot with Facebook Messenger
    is just a first step. Soon, all vehicles will have digital assistants based on Amazon Alexa, Google Actions, Apple's Siri ... build in, and you are just talking to these assistants while you are driving to request information of your interest.

    A friend just replied on Facebook that the road until Whitehorse was very good but after Whitehorse it was slow going earlier this week.
