- mileshuffExplorerWhy not 238 to 347? That saves 10 miles off I-8 to 347 and 22 miles off the Florence route. Been awhile since I've drive 238 but seem to remember 238 being all good road. 347 is as mentioned good for RV's.

347 is o.k. but take 202 east to 60 not I-10 to Hwy 60 and then east.
However, a less congested route which only adds 12 miles farther is:
I-8 to I-10 north to Exit 190 (McCartney Rd.). Head east on 87/287 to Hwy 79 at Florence. Then north on 79 to 60 (Superstition Hwy) and left to Gold Canyon.
You will have a more scenic drive this route.

- BobKrogstieExplorerVery decent; mostly 65 MPH, 4 lane divided highway with only a five mile stretch through the town of Maricopa where the speed limit drops to 55 to 45 to 35 and then back up to 65 on the north side of town.
