Hi I tried to do a search for adult only RV parks and i couldn't come up with
anything. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction with a link ?

I would be looking for parks for summer 2019 in the western US and maybe Canada.... to get out of the desert heat.
I'll have a class B.

If you have any suggestions for Wyoming, Montana... and north. OR anything in cooler places... Let me know

thanks so much.

ALL i want is a quiet place to sit outside and take in the fresh air and listen to the wind in the trees. PERFECT !
So why don't you check out some state parks? We favor them for just this reason. Destination CG's that want to provide you with amenities are off the list. Maybe you'll see some kids riding their bikes around the loop, but noise from to many kids doesn't happen - at least for us.

yes i intend to check out state parks... i was just asking about private parks in case there was some that people could recomend.

thanks

Experience without good judgment is worthless; good judgment without experience is still good judgment!

Hi thanks for your responses. NO i am not looking for nudist places. HAHAHA ! I guess thats what adults only sounded like. sorry about that.

what i am looking for is peace and quiet. I dont have kids and i am just looking for places that
are geared towards the retirement crowd. I have turned up a few places but i was wondering about others.

I know there are likely not alot of places... but i thought i would ask. i guess i'll be boondocking alot in national forests and such.

Thanks for the advice.... i'll check 55 plus on the search.

Search for "lake Tyee" It is located near Concrete Wa. north of Highway 20.
very nice remote camping Village.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like Wash. state.

As annoying as kids can be, I can't imagine going to a campground without seeing kids. Maybe just the thought of the +55 campgrounds with no kinds makes me face reality just how old I'm getting! I'll hang out with the children a bit longer.

We're the opposite and we have 3 grown boys/men. Kids are one of the reasons we don't camp at Oregon St parks in the summer.
Going in the spring and fall it's just us older people. Much quieter.

I would look for parks and camp grounds that do not have much for kids to do.

Itโ€™s been my experience based visiting (not staying at) and speaking with numerous folks that have stayed there that places that donโ€™t allow children are full of mostly cantankerous old curmudgeons that you donโ€™t want to be around anyways.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I understand about the summer places up north. I guess i'll find out when i get going. Thanks for your help.

Basically, there is a market for winter snowbird parks geared towards adults.

Summer parks up north, the market doesn't support it. You would be ruling out far too many customers with the rule, so while you might find a stray one, there won't be many.

A federal court ruling affirmed that RV parks or campgrounds fall under Fair Housing regulations. That means a park or campground can't have a "no children" policy. They can restrict children if they fall under one of the 4 exemptions. 1. 55+, which still isn't completely restricting children. 2. Clothing optional. 3. Fraternal or religious non-profit organization where use is restricted by membership contract. 4. If activities are occurring openly and without restrictions where children would be prohibited by law from attending.

RV parks and campground do have the right under federal regulations (states may say otherwise) to use creative space arraignments to keep areas kinda separated so long as they are not reducing the services or quality to those with children and not turning anyone with children away.

I am not familiar with any 55 plus parks in Wyoming or Montana. What you can do is look for parks with minimum facilities for children, extra fees for more than 2 guests per site and other things that might not be attractive for families. A lot of parks in these states (mine included) are what can best be described as family tolerant, rather than family friendly. No playgrounds, no pools, no game rooms or arcades, no campfires, not bargain priced, and will tell you that there isn't a lot for children to do in the park if you ask. Personally, we are fine with the KOAs in the area taking in the families and leaving the traveling adults to us.

Hi thanks.... very good advice. Thats really what i want anyway. I dont care about pools and all those extra things. ALL i want is a quiet place to sit outside and take in the fresh air and listen to the wind in the trees. PERFECT !

Spent 7 weeks in Oregon Sate Parks this past summer. Lots of kids, but very quiet in the evenings. Only complaint we had was no one gave us a dog when we entered, we felt so out of place without one!
