We will be staying a month in the area. Inquired about American RV Park but the monthly rate is around 1000 a month because it uses the weekly rate, in the same area was two other parks, Enchanted Trails and High Desert. They have believable monthly rates. Has anyone stayed in either one and would there be another area out of Albuquerque to stay that was still close.

We live in Albuquerque, just down the road from there(ok about 8 miles) and we have full timing friends that always stay at High Desert. The management is top notch and the folks are friendly. Close to Camping World, shopping and there's a casino about 5 miles away, if you are into that sort of thing.

It was nice, quiet and clean and a little bit cooler in the mountains. I have no idea about monthly rates. It is located in Cedar Crest which is about 4 or 5 miles from I-40. Very short drive to Albuquerque.

Enchanted Trails is what I'd call rustic. We like it and stay there whenever we visit or pass through ABQ (at least twice a year). Folks are friendly. Yes, it is gravel and the rear section has some long-term residents and stored units. We've never had a problem with that.

I stayed at Enchanted and wouldn't go back....looks good on the internet, and the front section isn't bad, but that's it. They had me next to the rig with flat tires and the pickup with the same....no thanks.

We have stayed at High Desert twice, were just there a couple of weeks ago. It is a very nice park, clean, large sites, nice management. We would recommend it.

We thought High Desert was fine for the 4 days we spent there. The manager was very pleasant and the park was clean.

We have stayed at American and Enchanted Trails but last summer we chose the KOA at Bernabillo. It was a nice park, clean and well cared for with shady sites. We were in the back so highway noise was minimal. I don't know about their monthly rates. lizzie

Have stayed at all three parks. American is the nicest if you stay in the new section, but not worth $1,000 per month. High Desert is American's neighbor and the sites are closer, but at only $350 a month + electric would be my choice. Enchanted Trails is across the highway next to Camping World. Very dusty and much older then American and High Desert but their rate is only $365 + electric a month. I didn't see anything at American that would cause me to spend an extra $650 for a months stay. FYI, that side of Albuquerque is very windy almost every day.
