Hello! We are planning to check out anderson ranch reservoir this weekend which is north of mountain home.

Any suggestions for camping on the lake? We have heard there is room to pull right up to the lakeside and camp.

With your rig you should have no problem.
How close to the water will be determined by how high the reservoir is.
Usually this time of year it should be close to full so you may be able to dangle your toes in it.

The river that runs out of there is an excellent trout fishery. There are/were several primitive campsites along the river below the dam. With that said, the area is also known for the large number of rattlesnakes that frequent the area.
Watch your step and keep your pets close.
