And the Gibson Guitar factory tour is pretty interesting. The National Civil Rights Museum is a good stop too. The W C Handy, father of the blues home/museum is just off the end of Beale Street. The duck walk at the Peabody was a hoot to watch.
Didn't eat at the Rendezvous though highly recommended I couldn't bring myself to eat BBQ in a restaurant with white tablecloths. Did eat at Blues City Cafe at 2nd & Beale and the ribs were great!
Once in downtown look for folks wearing safari helmets and carrying satchels. Go speak to them and they will have lots of info about local places to visit or eat. The satchels are filled with brochures and some are helpful. They put us onto the free shuttle that took us to Graceland and back into town for Sun Studios tour.
Enjoy
