Are there any full hook ups in Arches NP in Utah?
Where do you stay closest to the park with full hook up?
Thanks for you reply.

U'r truck is probably high clearence enough to do the Shafer Trail switchback off Rt.313. Check with the ranger at the visitors center as to road conditions. Wet, don't try it. Its an amazing, fairly easy off-road experience that goes down the cliff face, across the bottom of the Canyonlands below DeadHorse point, past 'Thelma & louise' Point where they drove off the cliff. You'll go thru the property(public road)at the 'Evaporation' pools & buildings. It than becomes the paved Hyway 279 at the river. From here you can continue on to connect to Rt.191...BUT...I REALLY suggest, in DRY conditions, turning left off 279 at the dirt road, cross the RxR track at Jughandle arch. Continue all the way up the canyon road, called Long canyon, where u drive UNDER a giant fallen rock thats balanced against the rock wall. When u get to the top make sure to stop, get out and see the amazing views of this canyon & road you just came up. Continue on the same road & it'll take you to the junction of the road to Deadhorse point, left, or right(straight)back to Rt.313.
Another very easy side trip is the good dirt road, also off Rt.313, to Gemini Bridges. Its a Great site. There is also a 4x4 trail to this place but its a bit difficult in places. BTW, a drive thru Arches is nice also. lol

We have been there several times and going again this Fall. Have stayed at 3 different parks and looked at a lot more. Although it is a little further drive we are going back to Spanish Trail.

Our favorite is River Bend RV park just north of town across the bridge. Next door is a river dinner boat cruise. Well shaded by large old trees. Full hookups & modern private Baths. Our next favorite is ArchView. Its about 10 miles north of town. A bit on the 'Rustic' side but great views & located almost at the 191/313 junction which is where you'll be going to see most sites in Canyonlands. Beware tho, Archview will try to give you an 'Improved' site which is just like the normal sites but 50% more expensive.

Archview is a nice place but their store hours are crazy. It is the closest to Arches NP, just up the road (5min). It;s a fair drive into Moab from Arches.

We found the place friendly and easy to deal with and the veiw from there is very nice.

While Arches has no hookups they do have some very very pretty campsites. If you boondock I would stay there for a few days too.

BTW-Completed a short slick rock mtb trip in Moab a week ago and it has been a damp spring in the central Rockies thus far. The BLM roads are either squishy mud or dried, deep rutted roads as the BLM-County (neither have the proper funding-remember sequestration?) have yet to significantly blade those roads on the east side of 191.
If you are healthy and in decent shape the hike up to Delicate Arch in the morning or later in day is highly worth it (30-60 mins up).

RV Park Reviews list 27 Parks in Moab. Find one that has what you want at the price point you want and have at it. Your going to love the area regardless of where you stay. Don't forget to visit Dead Horse Point State Park while there as well.

No hook ups in the Park.

I like to stay at Archview RV Resort. On 191 just outside the Park.
