Questions you need to ask yourself:
Do you want to spend all 3 months in one place, and take day trips to see as much of the area as you can? Or spend a week or two in one place, then move on to the next?
Do you want a resort with regularly scheduled activities designed for snowbirds? There are plenty of those places, and they tend to be large with a lot of people around. Or would rather have smaller parks with more solitude, but few planned activities?
Once you have decided those things, you can start looking for places to stay.
