- agesilausExplorer IIIJetty Park which is a city owned park, near Melbourne, as close to the beach as you are likely to see but it's still a couple hundred yards. Anastasia State Park near St Augustine is on the beach. There are some panhandle state parks on the beach but I haven't been to them.
Of course the parks in the Keys all have beach access both private and state. - TripalotExplorerJetty Park at Cape Canaveral has a lovely beach. Some of the sites are very close to the beach. It is a county park but the prices are high for a county park in my opinion.
Further north of Daytona is Gamble Rogers S.P. and Anastasia SP at St. Augustine. Both are on the Atlantic and have nice beaches. - happynowExplorerGamble Rogers at Flagler Beach is a State Park on the beach. It may be tough to get a reservation though. There is a privately owned Campground in Beverly Beach, is right on the beach.
Good Luck - Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerRed Coconut RV Park in Fort Myers Beach has sites right on the beach and 3 or 4 rows in. Also sites across the street in the 'park side'. Sites are a bit tight but we love it there. Easy walk to restaurants and you could bike easily to get groceries. You can rent bikes locally. Make reservations NOW!
- Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerOh ya, I forgot. There is a trolley service that stops in front of the park that will take you all over FMB.
- HurcHntr4JCExplorerWhen you can get a campsite on Loop A, Fort Pickens Campground in Pensacola is a delight. Beautiful white sand beach right across Pensacola Sound from NAS Pensacola which is home for the Blue Angels. You might get to experience one of their air shows on a Wednesday during their "season". Rejoice!
- cyntdon2010ExplorerTopsail state park, Destin Fl. July of this year we will be there for 4 days..
I Love This Park. Its not cheap but for once a year vacation . - Mr__CamperExplorerTry Beverly Beach on the east coast. Camping right on the Atlantic ocean.
- joloooteExplorerAnistasia CG is NOT on the beach. Its about a 1/2 mile walk or drive to it.
Beverly Beach has True ocean front sites. The park is basically a large square vacant lot, very little vegetation & kinda expensive.
Top Sails CG is NOT on the beach, but they have a shuttle bus to take u there. About 1/2 mile.
Gamble Rodgers IS nestled between the Hyway and the ocean. There is about 20 yards of thick vegetation between waterfront sites and the ocean. U must go down to the boardwalk passage to get to the beach.
Ft. Picken is ON THE BEACH!
In the Keys, Long key State Pk. has TRUE water front sites, but little shade.
Curry Hammock St.Pk. has some 'water view' sites, but again with some vegetation between site and water. No shade.
Bahia Honda, our favorite, has about a dozen truely water front sites. U can swim at your own site. Other sites are back in the bushes. - joloooteExplorerAlso, Jetty Park CG is NOT on the beach. Nestled in the bushes and can be a major bug problem. About a 1/4 mile walk to the beach or fishing jetty/pier.
At Tampa/St.Pete is a County CG called Ft. Desoto. One of our favorites, but hard to get a reservation & kinda expensive. There are water front sites with views of the bay not the gulf. Some sites you can wade into the water and others have a rock bank barrier thats almost impossible to crawl across. Wonderful park with its own fenced in dog run areas and even a dog beach! The old military Fortress,ie; Ft. Desoto, is an amazing site to see also.
