Beware when camping in Hastings, Nebraska

Had the DIS-PLEASURE of camping at the Hastings, Nebraska Campground earlier this year. Their ad promised one thing, but when you get there it is not what they said it was. Anyway, I paid in advance for one month, with a credit card over the phone, as I was going to be working during harvest season in the Hastings area. After one night there, I was transferred by my company over a hundred miles southwest. I asked the girl at the counter about converting my fully paid one month payment to a two day or one week, so I didn't have to lose the entire month's rent. I was told (very rudely by the manager) "NO REFUNDS". I tried to reason with her, but she said tough stuff. Then she went on with some baloney about once they rent a spot, even if you leave, they cannot rent the same spot to someone else. I tried to cancel my Visa, but Visa said that the check-in envelope said No Refunds in very small print, so they could not deny the charge. BEWARE. MOST reasonable campgrounds will work with you, but not the Hastings Nebraska Campground. There ARE other options.
