Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound like it's my kind of place.

Oh Shady Pines in Absecon. Isn't that a 55+ community?

50% of it is permanent single/double-wide type housing, 40% is seasonal trailers and the remaining 10% are for transient sites. These sites are not long, and the grounds are all covered with stone. I barely got my 28' TT into the site last month when I was there. The roads are curbed and narrow, making it very difficult to back in. Occassionally you can can pull through to set up if there is no one on the site behind you.

Don't think I'll go back as they were bought by Sun RV. I've seen real nice campgrounds go to pieces with company ownership (Morgan was horrible). Maybe we'll just watch what happens this year.

I'm monitoring the two NJ CGs that were bought out by Care Free Resorts - Shady Pines and Long Beach CG. Most do indeed go downhill.

I don't know anything about Shady Pines, but I live minutes from Long Beach CG in Barnegat on 72 and I'm not hearing good things about it. Bad service, nothing gets done.

They are not seasonal only and have some nice sites. It does get crowded in season. Sunset Beach becomes dog friendly AFTER the high/peak season usually mid to end of September to the beginning of May. Almost all of the Jersey beaches have this restriction.

*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - "WOW, What a ride!"

We like the sites by the lake. Nice and wide with some shrubs/trees in between. Don't think I'll go back as they were bought by Sun RV. I've seen real nice campgrounds go to pieces with company ownership (Morgan was horrible). Maybe we'll just watch what happens this year.

We have been to Big Timber three times and always have had a great time. We always request sites near the swimming pond.

Also, Big Timber Lake was just bought by Sun RV Resorts.

Nice campground all of the full hook up sites were nice side and lots for the kids to do. Another good option a little more towards Cape May is Sea Shore Campsites just in case there is no room in Big Timber
