Bike riding at Twin Creek Campground- Gatlinburg

Wife and I are heading there for the first time next Friday for a long weekend. We normally carry our bikes with us but wasn't sure if this park is big enough to bother. So my question to anyone that ...

I've seen a lot of bikers in the area but they're always on the SIDEWALKS. Some even risk their necks riding over the Smokies to Carolina. If you're an experienced rider you could probably bike OK in G'bg and PF but you'd better be careful; and wear your helmet.
