Bike riding at Twin Creek Campground- Gatlinburg

Wife and I are heading there for the first time next Friday for a long weekend. We normally carry our bikes with us but wasn't sure if this park is big enough to bother. So my question to anyone that has been there, is it big enough to ride around on the bikes? Thanks a bunch.
  • I've seen a lot of bikers in the area but they're always on the SIDEWALKS. Some even risk their necks riding over the Smokies to Carolina. If you're an experienced rider you could probably bike OK in G'bg and PF but you'd better be careful; and wear your helmet.
  • May still want your bikes Pigeon Forge has a lot to see with a bike while cars are bumper to bumper bikes some time move faster then cars LOL

While there...... go to Cade's Cove on a Saturday morning or a Wednesday morning to ride bikes. They restrict the loop to bike and foot traffic only. They rent bikes there but I would take mine if I had them.

Might wanna tell them how long the loops are.

  • Take your bikes and go Saturday early morning to Cades Cove and do the 11mile loop.
  • I have never stayed at that park, but I sure wouldn't be caught riding a bike IN Gatlinburg!! It's pretty awful trying to drive a car without getting run over.
  • Thanks for the quick replies. Sounds like the bikes stay at home this time around.

    Not really big enough.

X2, and the highway is pretty busy. Don't recall if there is a sidewalk there, but don't think so.
