Black Hills late September

We are traveling to the Black Hills in late September. We have reservations made in Custer, SD for a couple days but then thought we would move up to the Spearfish/Deadwood area for a couple days. Any suggestions for a late season campground? We called a couple of them south of Deadwood and they won't be open that late in the year.

If Elkhorn Ridge is the one with the bronze characters scattered about, then it gets my vote too. We were there just before Bike Week and met some really nice folks with their Harley TVs and popup, fold out mini tent trailers. Nice place, good internet. clean and bright.
