I normally use Vogel State Park but waited too late to make reservations for this October. Can anyone recommend another campground in the area that is similar. It may be a lost cause for October.....It can be a private campground as well. Thanks in advance.

I’ve never stayed here but have heard good things about Crossing Creeks in fact I’ll be in Blue Ridge next week and I’m planning on driving over to check it out. It’s a private CG but you might do a google search and see what its all about. You might also check Ft Mountain SP a little west of Vogel.

Choestoe Falls is very nice. Private owned lots, but some owners rent them.From town of Blairsville, on way to Vogel St Pk. I want to think Hwy 181 without looking it up, about 4-5 miles east and maybe 1/2 mile off main road.

My cousin has a cabin in Hemp, GA. If you run out of camping options let me know, its a beauty and she rents it. I leave the camper at home and go there.

Track Rock CG is an option and Crossing Creek should be safe to use in October. Union County runs Poteet Creek CG on Lake Nottely. Call 706-439-6000 and ask for the CG #.

I would not recommend Enotah at all. Along with some already mentioned you could look at GA mountain fairgrounds on lake Chatuge, River Bend on the Hiawassee river in Towns Co. There is also Lake Winfield Scott.

I hesitate to mention this place because the current owners have let it go down so badly. It is a beautiful location however. Bears sometime frequent the area and there is wild hogs along 180 and on the mountain.
Enota Campground on Hiway 180 near Brasstown Bald Mt, (highest spot in Georgia.
