Boone to Asheville Campgrounds

Question

we have stayed at Marion Jellystone (my kids are no longer kids) and Raccon Hollar.  Any other nice campgrounds where we could visit Asheville area &amp; Boone, Grandfather area during our stay?  Looking near level, easy in &amp; out sites.

Friends of us love Mama Gerties.  We have never been, but they go for a few days every summer....without the kids.

We really liked the Lake Powhattan Recreation Area campground near Asheville. Some sites have full hookups. Very quiet and roomy sites...

Stayed at Mamma Girties and loved it make sure you get on top level

Honeybear campground in Boone. Bear-Den campground in Spruce Pine.  Been to both several times, both are nice.  The drive to Bear-den is stressful, regardless of TV or trailer.
