Boston Minuteman

In past threads when someone asks about campgrounds around Boston, Boston Minuteman is always mentioned. Seeing that I live an hour and a half from this CG, I thought we'd spend a weekend here and see is everyone is right. Initial impression is that they are. The sites and the roads are gravel, but the sites are fairly level. I put the levelers down just to steady the rig. 50 Amps full hookup site with cable is $57 a night with 10% off for Good Sam members.

After the guy with the weed whacker knocked off the the day, it's very peaceful. More class As and truck campers than TTs and 5ers. That may change over the course of the day.

Check in time was 1:00pm so you get to spend a lot of the first day here, unless you're one of those people who takes 4 hours to set up :).

Here's a shot of our site.

  • Well, after a few trips around the place so the dog could leave some p-mail, it appears that we're the biggest class A (35') here. Of course there are longer 5ers so maneuvering around isn't an issue, and it just doesn't seems that tight to me.

Wishbone - you're absolutely right about the mosquitoes.

No offense. I was referring to a post here last year "How long does it take everyone to set up?" Pretty sure it was a troll, but it was a good one.

The staff was great in giving directions to the dock.

Coinkydink... I think that's the year I did the turnaround as well.

I was surprised when an older couple we met in Fl said they travel 50 miles or so a day. Now that I have another relatively minor issue with my leg and having it in a brace and using crutches it may take me that long to set up. I can see how a person could end up only going 50 or 100 miles a day.
  • Yes.. Boston Minuteman is one of my favorite campgrounds. Watch out for the mosquitoes. Largest I have ever seen :) I bought a citronella candle at that campground's store because it was that bad. Never used it since.
