Boulder, County Fairgrounds Open Yet?
We went through early in September and it was closed for refurbishing. Does anyone know if it’s open yet? Our grandson goes to school there and it’s always been a good place to stay. Thanks

- Thank you. We are staying away because of the fires. Our grandson goes to school at CU and he told us to stay away. But before the new fires I was wondering about it.
- Err yeah, I'd stay away in general if you're traveling for pleasure right now. Any available RV space in the Boulder and surrounding area should be left for those evacuating from the fires.
- The Campground remains closed. The dump station remains open. During wildfires, the fairgrounds is frequently used to shelter animals and livestock that has been evacuated from a fire area.
There are 2 new fires within the past 12-24 hours in Boulder County resulting in new evacuation orders in Boulder County, so my guess is that the fairgrounds may be used not only for sheltering animals, but also for spaces for folks with RVs to evacuate to. - If you are talking the one in Longmont Co. my guest would be not due to the wildfires in the area. Monday you might want to call and get good information
