Brialee RV park

There's a reason there are so few reviews for this place. My husband posted a negative review on their Facebook page and it was promptly deleted. This was the worst campground experience we have ever had and we didn't even spend the night. We arrived after dark with our three small children. The site we were given was WAY too small for our camper. It took over an hour just to get it on the site. Once on we realized we wouldnt have been able to open the awning because it wouod be over the fire! Then we noticed the utilities were at the FRONT of the site on the opposite end of where camper hook ups are. We finally began to set up and the site was so extremely unlevel that no matter what we did we couldn't get it even close to level. It was unsafe to have our children sleep in there so we decided to leave. Not only were there problems with the site but the fire pit was full of trash and broken glass. The other campers were extremely close and our picnic table was practically in someone else's site. There is definitely no privacy here and clearly the nice big sites go to the seasonal campers. We left and drove an hour back home in the middle of the night and called the next day. The first young man who answered said "oh that site is definitely too small for your camper" and said his manager would call back. However when my husband called AGAIN to speak to a manager she had the nerve to blame it on him that he didn't know how to maneuver his camper. She said we could have called or gone to the office to get another site but the shirtless young man when we checked in said they closed at 10. AND I called TWICE prior to the trip and they said they only had ONE site left. So she refused to give us a refund and now is deleting all our reviews. They obviously cater to seasonal campers and just try to make a quick buck on unsuspecting campers who are lured here by their filtered reviews.
  • Since you're in RI -- have you tried Fisherman's Memorial? or Wawaloam? Both are very nice and I'd go back to either of them.
  • I've been there twice.....Pop Up Camper....I'd give it 2 stars out of 5
  • I live in the next town over, driven through the camground, its an average camground, usually local transient or seasonalas seem to camp there, not a destination type place. As mechioned before post review on rvpark reviews. (Rv park reviews requires 3 differant reviews before they post online)

Might want to chalk this up as a learning experience....I see some errors on both sides.

We all have learned the hard way every once in a while. Try to continue using this site to get and share info before making a trip...you will find it useful

    Sorry for your bad experience.

    Mike
  • You could post on RVparkreviews (.com) because the owner could not delete it. Unless he owns that website.

If you are referring to a CT place, the reviews were mixed. The most recent one refers to a new section. Power surges, dirty bathrooms, rocks in the site, issues getting in. I would have looked elsewhere.
