Brown County State Park Indiana Question 2

Where are some good flea markets, thrift or junk shops in the area within an hours drive of the State Park?

My hubby and I love to travel around and see what treasures we can find in different towns! We've found that we prefer these to the organized antique shops or malls. It's all about the thrill of the find when you have to hunt and dig for your treasure!! :B
  • There are a couple of flea markets off of highway 46, east of the park's south entrance. As I recall, they are in or close to the town of Gnaw Bone. Not sure which days/hours they are open, though. Magnusfide's suggestion to check with the park office is a good one. Keep in mind that the town of Nashville, just outside of the park, is a great place to browse, shop, and grab a bite to eat. Great part of Indiana. We make it a point to spend a week or two in that area every year.
  • For both your questions, the bicycling and the flea markets, I'd call the park office. Locals work in state parks and can be a wealth of info.

Enjoy your trip; we like state parks too.
