Here in Utah, our national parks are best enjoyed getting deep off the beaten path (i.e. hiking several miles a day). If you don't have a few days to hike back in there, then you may be left underwhelmed.
My all-time favorite place on the west coast is the Redwoods in Northern California. Magical place. I can never get enough.
Yosemite comes in a close second for me. That place is magical as well.
