Buffalo Crossing RV Park West Yellowstone

Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Buffalo Crossing RV Park in West Yellowstone to make a reservation? I'm not a newbie at this, but their reservation process is frustrating to me. The online part doesn't give a confirmation; They haven't answered my email; and the phone voice mail says it will only be checked WEEKLY?!
They have good online reviews, but I haven't figured out how anyone can make a reservation to stay and give one.

It may be like fishing......ya gotta hold yer mouth right.
  • Sounds like the campground is still closed for the winter season.

Have you tried Grizzly RV Park? Nice place.
  • Have you seen this campground ( I Have) it is really just a parking lot. Why do you want to stay there ?

They are still closed but they supposedly have been taking reservations since Nov. The only way I see to do it is on line but I didn't get a confirmation or rejection. I also need two sites. Without a response to email or phone calls, I don't know whether I have a reservation or not. The main thing I was wondering about was whether anyone else had failed or if they succeeded......HOW?

Ditto. It's also a bit of a drive from the park - it's really more in Island Park than near West Yellowstone. Have you checked all the other possibilities? A couple that look nice and/or we have stayed there: 2 different KOAs a few miles west of West Yellowstone, Henrys Lake State Park (Island Park, Idaho), and Grizzly (our usual choice). And that's just a few of them.

As for your original question, sorry I can't help with that, as I have never dealt with this CG. I would guess they are still closed for the season; they may be opening up toward the end of this month.
  • Problem solved. Tried again and it worked. Like I said; I musta been holdin' my mouth wrong. Thanks for all the advice folks, but for three of us together, this was our last close choice so late in the game.

I have to wonder what park you are talking about. Buffalo Crossing RV Park is two blocks from the West Gate of Yellowstone NP.
