- padredwNomadDuplicate, sorry.
- padredwNomadWe have stayed several times at the Joy O campground near Jackson. It is not a resort and does not claim to be, but we found it entirely adequate for an overnight or two. We would not be reluctant to stay there again.
My ancestors came to East Texas from Haywood County, Dancyville, TN so we have been back there several times. Dancyville is near Brownsville, but Joy O is the nearest campground we have found. - MVH1ExplorerThanks for the responses. We are thinking of visiting family in Jackson and wanted to find a nice place not to far from town. It doesn't seem like there are many options. Thanks
- navybankerExplorerEast of Jackson there is one at Parkers Crossroads exit off I40 (Hwy 22). West of Jackson is Joy O CG which you can see from I 40. We haven't stayed at either but they look okay from the road. I am sure RV Parks Review site has comments on these. In Jackson many stay overnight at Walmart/Sam's Club.
- Ramp_DiggerExplorerWe usually camp at Chickasaw State park.Just off of hwy 45 on route 100 south west of Jackson TN.Very nice clean state park with many large sites.Check the state parks links on this page for more details. Ramp
