Check with your insurance first. In Ontario, many RV insurers will not provide insurance if the RV is out of Ontario for more that 6 months at a time.
We ran into this a couple of years ago when we were doing a trip to Colorado, Utah etc. in September/October. We wanted to leave the RV someplace safe,fly home and return after Christmas to spend a few more months snowbirding before returning home in late March. Trailers and Fifth wheels are not affected by this ruling - only motorized vehicles.
So, check on this and see how it applies to your plans.
