Campgrounds in Surprise Az

Here's the issue. in the next year or so we are wanting to go to Surprise for Texas Rangers spring training. I have checked my AAA maps and found several campgrounds in the general area, but they all seem to have a 55+ age restriction. I'm close but not quite there and my wife is a few years behind me. Are there any decent campgrounds in the area of the ballpark that take us not quite as old people?
  • White Tank Mountain Park is the closest campground to the ball park. $30.00 per night with water and electric, dump station.
  • Unless you have some kids in tow I doubt that they would want proof of age to anyone approaching the "speed limit".
  • Call and ask. Since you are close (and no kids) it may be no problem.
  • we have used this rv park three times in the past few years and are satisfied with it. it isn't fancy, but the customers are quiet and the laundry room does the job, and the location is very good for going to the ball park, etc. plus, the last time we stayed, the owner and his son hand washed our rig and did a decent job of it for a decent price.

  • Thanks. Donorma was one I checked and it also says it's 55+. Guess when we get serious I'll have to do some calling.
  • I'm guessing White Tank Mountain is more a public camp ground area? Seems pretty spread out. Looks fun.
  • White Tank is a very nice Maricopa County park. There are others equally nice or more so: Cave Creek Regional, Usery, McDowell Mountain, Lake Pleasant and there's also Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction. Huge lush sites; electric, water fill, dump stations, nice bath houses.
