- SanMarMorExplorerIf you don't need hookups, try Cracker Barrel. Check your route for one, call and ask the manager, then we eat while we're there to say thank you. Once, we sat out in their rocking chairs reading, to pass time. Our waiter said he'd bring us refills, but we didn't ask for that.
Mark - portlizExplorerWe called camping world and they said that they have been having spaces available. We will call ahead. We also have a Plan B. There is a campground open all year just off the bypass.
We have a 17 year old dog who does not travel well so we are pushing her to go this far. Nashville is beyond our limits., We have stayed at Two Rivers. Thanks for your input.
Thanks all. - LIKE2BUILDExplorer

Heading south tomorrow. Hoping to stay at this camping world. Any experiences or vomments. I understand 30 and 50 amp plug ins on lamp posts.
If Campingworld doesn't work out, can you make it all the way to Nashville, TN? Depending on how far north you are in Ontario that might not be realistic since Music City is another 4 1/2 hours farther south than Indy. We stayed at Two Rivers Campground recently and it was really nice. They said they get a lot of snowbirds that use them as an overnight point.

B.O. - DutchmenSportExplorerFor the last couple years, their parking lot has been jam packed full of RVs of all sorts. We weren't sure if those folks were camping there, or if their campers were there for repair and waiting in line. Still, it has been jam packed. (but may be different now that that camping season is pretty much over in Indiana). Last time we were there, we counted 79 different RV's, and these were just on the outside parameter, not to mention a couple rows completely full down the middle. It was so packed full, we had to circle around to find a place to park (the car) ... we did not have the camper.
Hopefully, it will be more empty this time of year. The parking area is on a slight hill. So parking will make your camper unlevel left-to-right, unless you get clear in the back on the top, where it's more level. For an overnight though, and somewhere to crash a few hours, it's not a bad location.
Coming South, at the Greenwood exit, you'll want to be in the far left(right hand turn lane). As soon as you make the turn on Main Street, you'll need to be in the far left lane (going West), so you can make an immediate left turn on Sheek Road. (Remember, when taking this exit off I-65, stay in the left lane of the right turn). The road is clearly marked for the immediate left at the light, but you can't see that very well coming down the exit ramp.
