- PawPaw_n_GramExplorerThe RV sites are all nice. The choice is do you want 50 or 30 amp power, do you want to be close to the restroom or not.
Personally we like the outside of the loop near the north end of the CG. I want my rig placed so the large windows face east and north.
The Texas sun can turn almost any RV into an oven in the afternoon any time of year. - jparker66ExplorerThanks. My rig is 30 amp. What site did you camp it?
- PawPaw_n_GramExplorerI prefer #27. I think the 30 amp sites are 1-25 and 26-35 are 50 amp
- kstantonExplorerWe stayed at Honea Flat Camping Area in site 25 (30 amp). The site backs up to a grass area that is home to a prairie dog village. They were really fun to watch. At sunset the bison came into the grass area to graze. A great experience. The grass area is a very short walk from any of the sites. Great mountain biking as well.
- FordDiesel250ExplorerIt has been 10 years or more since we camped there but as I remember all of the sites were good.
- jparker66ExplorerThanks to everyone. We got here about 3:30 on Saturday. One site was left, site 30. It is a good one and I see what everyone means most are all good. The prairie dogs are neat to watch. Should be great weather this weekend.
Thanks again. - 4huskersExplorerIn the spring the Burrowing Owls will be in with the Prairie Dogs and are great fun to watch and photograph.
