Carson City, NV

Has anyone one had any experience with Gold Dust West casino campground in Carson City, NV? I'm going out there in April for some flight training.
  • A quick check of Casino Camper shows these casinos, the one you mentioned isn't listed. The inly one that is for Carson City apparently recently changed their rules.

We've stayed there twice. A bit tight, but definitely satisfied our needs. Reasonably priced. Easy access to the freeway.

Thanks for the info. I read a lot of the reviews, and being sort of tight seemed to be the biggest complaint........that and people not picking up after their dogs. I don't have any pets, so that won't be a big issue for me. The tight spots really don't bother me either. I just want a place to park, eat, and sleep. All of my activities will be at the airport.:)
  • We stayed there many years ago before casino changed owners & names, would stay again. There is also a bigger private RV park south on 395 outside the city if you can't get in in Carson City or a State Park in Dayton east of Carson City on hwy 50.
  • We stayed there in 2013 and our blog entry for that stop is located at MyTripJournal including a couple of pictures of our site.
  • The Gold Dust West RV park is very close to the airport, has a restaurant and casino on the premises. For what you want it probably is the closest to the airport.
