CG in TX Hill country suggestions

I looking for a CG in Texas hill country that would have birds at site to take pictures and card games at night to keep wife happy.

Any suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks
  • TW and I really like Inks Lake State Park in the Texas Hill Country. Pictures from our July 4th 2014 camptrip. Awesome little lake for early morning PWC rides too!

  • Try this link:

We really have enjoyed the Tyler State Park (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/tyler)
since it is close to town, but quiet and away from the town traffic.
BUT...you will need to organize your own activities with the other campers. (A 'potluck' dinner with nearby folks is ALWAYS fun!!)
  • Guadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville is a nice RV park along the Guadalupe River and will have birds, and occasionally deer. They do have activities on site, but probably not organized card games although she could probably stir one up.
