We really have enjoyed the Tyler State Park (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/tyler)
since it is close to town, but quiet and away from the town traffic.
BUT...you will need to organize your own activities with the other campers. (A 'potluck' dinner with nearby folks is ALWAYS fun!!) - BB_TXNomadGuadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville is a nice RV park along the Guadalupe River and will have birds, and occasionally deer. They do have activities on site, but probably not organized card games although she could probably stir one up.
