I also like this one better than the others. has a drive in theater just down from it.
I stay in the KOA on the south side off I-59 IIRC out in the country. checked out Holiday travel park and it seemed a little "busy" to me.
bumpy - NorskemanExplorerThanks for all of the information!
- michigansandzilExplorerI would NOT recommend Holiday Travel Park at all!
If you don't have kids and only plan to use it as a home base, it will be fine. However, the lots are so small there's no room for chairs around the fire, the fire pit is basically framed in by the drive of each campsite. I saw a class A that didn't have room to open up both the slide and the awning.
There were basically no other children when we visited despite several other campers. Nobody was outside after 8pm, I felt like we were disturbing the peace just going for a nightly stroll. Good if you're older with no children with you, bad if you have kids and they're looking for playmates or general fun atmosphere.
It was basically a retirement community. Blah. - jeb5Explorer4x for Holiday Travel Park. Not the best after heavy rain, but outstanding all other times.
- TPUCExplorerNot full hookups but Cloudland Canyon State Park on lookout mtn. Great Park
- mleekampExplorerThere's also Raccoon Mtn Campground right off I-24. Has gocarts, a cave for exploring, other stuff. Some sites are tight, but they have larger newer sites you can get. All FU.

2nd for Holiday Travel Park. We've stayed twice and were satisfied. It's a good place to park RV for a few days and visit attractions from there. They had a nice camp store and the staff was pleasant both stays.

Greg - captbruExplorerWe go up to Chattanooga two or three times a year, Daughter and Grandkids live there. We all ways stay at Holiday Travel Park, large pull through's with full hookups. Highly recommend it. Easy access to Chattanooga.
