Thinking about going to Chicot State Park in Louisiana, for the July 4th weekend. Anyone have some site recommendations? North or South loop? Staying in a 35' 5th wheel.

Thanks

The majority of the sites are level.

We stay here a few years back. I believe it was the north loop we stay in with a 28 foot bumper pull. The site was level but very tight backing into due to trees on both side of the site pad. We stay there for 4 day and will go farther north to Colfax and stay next time.

We were there last weekend. It is a great park. We stayed in site 74 in the south loop with a 35' travel trailer. This site was pretty level as i didn't need anything extra to level the trailer. This is the only site (I Think) that you can actually see the lake.

From what I hear the North landing sites are very unlevel and many sites in the south loop are very short. If you use the online reservation site it will tell you the site length.

One BIG issue with this park are the ticks. If you go into the woods be prepared. I thing every member of the family had at least one and we were being careful.

I don't have site numbers but most of them are very unlevel; also a shame there is a 1500 acre lake that you can't even see from the campsites
