I am thinking of going to Chiefland or Old Town and wonder if anyone can recommend a decent campground? I have looked at rvparky and rvparkreviews and still can't decide. Don't need fancy, but would like wifi and pullthru, FHU. Thanks

Thanks for suggestions. Got reservations at Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort and Campground.

I was trying to do midway between Cedar Key and Steinhatchee..
Have been to Cedar Key, so will day trip to Steinhatchee and r&r and save the other suggestions for another trip.

Suwannee River Hideaway is great. Be sure to get their firepot if not too hot. It does not smoke, no mess and no sparks.

Great owners. WiFi only near office or Rec room. They close down in the summer, do not know when this year. They have a website.

Take a look at Yellow Jacket campground just south of Old Town. Nice shaded spots some facing the Suwannee river always quiet when we are there. I believe there are some pull-thru's

If you don't mind being a bit north (45 mins). We like Suwannee River Rendezvous in Mayo FL. Older section with shade and new section nice but no shade. I would make reservations and when you arrive, don't drive the RV down to the office. Call and get your site number, park in your space and drive your truck down to the office to finish getting registered. Not sure about wi-fi. We didn't use it and the reviews say it's weak.

In that area wifi is a tough one. Manatee Springs State Park is nice but only wifi is at the small bbq restaurant on site. Not sure if they have pull thru sites but check on Reserve America.
