Circus Circus RV park in Las Vegas still open!

I'd read here and other places that the RV park at Circus Circus has closed. I'm aware that KOA is no longer operaating it. I noted that the Circus Circus website still mentions the RV parem for k and says to call them for reservations. I did so, and I'm pleased to report that they are taking reservations currently. It's not cheap at around $50 per night, but as far as I am aware, it's the only RV facility on or adjacent to the Strip.

Also good news for someone who goes to Vegas for the Strip and not a nice destination RV park. It's 4 miles from the Oasis to the nearest mega resort Mandalay Bay with nothing in between. While it is 3 miles from Circus Circus to Mandalay Bay with a couple of dozen major resorts in between. There may be some cheap rooms on the Strip but add in an extra $15-$30 per night resort fee and the cost of a hotel breakfast and it almost pays for the RV site. I will take the convenience of my one bedroom condo on wheels over a hotel room or most suites I have stayed in anytime. Staying downtown is a non starter and the RV parks and casinos along Boulder Hwy are less than most tribal casinos in CA. For sports books and poker rooms there is nothing like the Strip. A welcome back to the Circus RV parking lot. See you in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads up. Not my favorite RV park by any means, but I've stayed there for the location.

Sam's Town has a free tour bus to downtown or the strip.

Depending on how long you intend to stay in Vegas, we parked at the back of the Bally and Paris for 3 nights with no issues $0 except casino play which probably worked out to more than $50 a night (LOL). Worked perfect for us. Also Main Street Station $16? night, can be tight on space, a little noisier and not as nice an area but many report staying happily there down near Freemont Street.

If we are staying for any longer than 3 nights we'll typically stay at the Oasis Las Vegas = not cheap but much nicer to relax in than Circus Circus and we walk 10 mins or so from it down to the outlet mall, where you can either walk up the strip (we like to walk all the way to the Tropicana from it) or catch a bus up there. The Oasis also runs a shuttle to the strip about 3 or 4 times a day and evenings.

3 nights/4 days is usually enough of the Strip for us, so boon docking behind Bally's works well most times for us, then we can head out to Sam's town or towards Pahrump or South. Lots of places to go after our fill on the strip.

Join Passport America and stay at the Oasis. It is a nicer park, but not on the strip.

Hey! $50 is pretty good. I was there last year in March when the KOA was operating it and it was $68 a night. I asked for a shade site and that would have been $85! Those shade sites must be real special! I would say it was one of the most parking lot "campsites" I have ever seen. But, you are right beside the casinos.
