That is a nice map view of the fires. Thanks, westernrv! Hmm, looks like some small fires in NM and one in Utah I need to keep an eye on, too.
Ok, so it's propane cooking all the way on this trip. No sense in taking chances. I am also packing a fire extinguisher.
And if destroying a few hundred homes, thousands of acres of land and killing the wildlife that resides within that forest is enough, there is another good reason to be overly careful with fire. Many states in the west have a law that makes the person who starts a forest fire responsible for the costs of fighting that fire. A multi-million dollar bill for fire fighting will empty most people's piggy banks.
