Cortez RV park near Mesa Verde

We are at a small family owned RV park in Cortez, Colorado that is clean, quiet well maintained, the manager is very nice, the park is
La Mesa RV just out of town, perfect place to visit Mesa Verde, a few miles east, you can see the mesa from the park, we were going to Durango, but the campground there could not give us much information about a site, too wishy washy, maybe when you arrive if you get here before five, etc.

Found this park on Google, called had space, welcome, the day we got here there were rigs coming in until about 8 o'clock and she was at the office waiting for them.

I recommend it, small quiet no frills great for relaxing and exploring the area.

When we camp in the Cortez area we use the Dolores River campgrounds. Love the sound of the river and the shade.

I just went to their web site and wish all RV parks would give a video showing all the sites like this one does. Pictures of RV parks that some owners post show nothing but a flowerbed or the office or the laundry room. Showing the actual sites is very impressive. Glad you enjoyed your time there.
