Dish Network jusssst north of the U.S. border... ?
Is there any way to use it up there? 5 miles north of the border? And how long can I stay in Canada? And what about my verizon broadband 3G stick for the computer?

I would be very surprised if they accept a Canadian address as Canada has their own satellite system.
For $15/month I get Verizon phone service as in talk access in Canada. But everything I've ever found on data is very expensive. Maybe you could buy Canadian equipment. We just use WiFi in Canada.
DTV national channels cover significant portions of western Canada and up to Fairbanks. Don't know about Dish.
