Dump/Fill -- Moab UT. $$$

TenOC
Nomad
Nomad
We plan to dry camp on BLM land near Moab UT for a week plus. I know that there are a number of private CG in the area and I assume that for a fee I can dump/fill at one of the CGs. I think someone mentioned a gas station in Moab that also has a free dump/fill station. Can anyone suggest a dump/fill place that does not charge $$$$$. I am willing to pay a small fee, but last year in CO I was charged $20.00 to dump/fill at a campground. I thought that was way to much.
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

The Farm and feed store has a $5 dump fee. Propane there is comparable to anywhere else and is where I refill my propane.
The Maverik on the south side of town has a free dump station.
I use both of these places (depending on who is busier and which direction I am coming from) when I come home from camping each time.

LOL, I'm sure at the end of 30 days my wife feels she's been boondocking with a "BOOB"

There is a gas station At the south end of town that had one. I can't remember the name but it was fairly large and had its own RV island. It's on the left hand side of the road if heading south.

My wife and I boobdock for a month

Boob docking with the wife sounds like a lot of fun, but doing it for a month must cause some discomfort!

Your so right, if you and your wife aren't into each other. Or you need one another to be next to you 24-7
My wife loves fishing with me, Shooting guns even hunting big game, or she's just as happy staying at camp while sometimes I'm gone all day doing something. So it's not for everyone. But if you ever have a wife like mine it's the best RV'ING EVER! It's all about the right match. My wife and I are both on our third marriage each, we've been married 11 years, And I couldn't have spent 30 day's in an RV with either of my past two wives. But I guess we got lucky!

I thought I got lucky but OH NO, now every day when I get up and ask DW what's going on today she says RIDING MOTORCYCLES DUUUUHHH. ๐Ÿ™‚

You missed the joke. He typed Boob docking (you know boobs what women have) not boon docking.

I'd pay $20. But I want 100 gallons of water. That's less than one night at a cg.

I think the above is a play on words.. "boobdocking"

And I thought no one noticed;)

Off topic, but ... the above comments on DW and camping are right on!!

I've been married to the same one for over 48 years. She has liked to hike, target shoot, pheasant hunt, ride double (even with our dog) on our motorcycle onroad and offroad in the desert, camp, and fish from the day we were hitched. She went out in our boat fishing w/me this past June during an RV drycamping trip and probably will do the same in our upcoming Sept. RV trip. She is also a rockhound, and to do that she will boondock in our RV out in the middle of nowhere if needed ... deserts included.

Our longest RV trip in our 24 foot Class C has been for around 10 weeks ... and we were still married at the end. She loves tripping and exploring in our Class C ... she calls it her little nest.

I was blessed with just the right one (DW, that is).

My wife and I boobdock for a month without dumping so $20 sounds good if it's the closest place to dump.

Forward this to DW for a suggestion on our next camping trip. Have to make sure to bring sunscreen. One more here to agree with the old adage "Happy Wife, Happy Life".

Mid-December 2015, I filled at the Chevron on the south end of town. I believe they had a dump too, didn't need it. Cost nothing for the water fill, I just asked after topping off my fuel tank and buying some junk food. I was happy their water was still on, being December.

Also having an RV and proper equipment(Solar, Big Battery bank, Remote start champion so she doesn't have to pull start a Gen. if needed. Satellite just bought haven't used yet) That helps Nice outdoor Kitchen. "Happy wife happy life"
