East Texas to Taylor Park, Co

Were leaving next week for a 21 day boondocking trip in TP, Colorado. Coming from Tyler, Tx and dont want to pull into TP at night. Plan to stop somewhere along the way in NM or maybe Southern, CO. We are in a toyhauler so our atvs will have to be pulled outside to let rear bed down. Any ideas of somewhere we could set up camp for a night and not worry about toys being hi-jacked?? Thanks

Depending on your route Dumas Texas has a city park with water electricity dump station free camping.just a big parking lot but fine for overnight . We stay there each year on the way home. About 9 hours from Tyler.
