Elks, Eagles, Moose RV facilities

What have you experienced with using these memberships for RV parking? It seems like the Elks have more lodges with RV facilities. True? Do you bewlong to more than one? Average cost? Thanks!
  • Also an Elks member and use their facilities for RVs all the time.
You must be a member to use the facilities.
Carmichael Elks lodge sells 4-5 Elks RV books covering the US.
Always check, some take reservations. Have never been disappointed.
Prices free (donation requested) to $25. Some have full hookup some
    just parking.
  • I'm a Elk member and retired Air Force. We always look at military installations and Elks lodges as the first choice when we are traveling. A couple years ago we took a month going from San Diego to Stockton Ca and except for about 5 days we stayed only at Elks lodges. We find many more Elks lodges with RV parking in the west than the east. Some of the larger parks have full hook ups for 30 and 40 rigs. Some smaller ones with half dozen or less.
  • Have enjoyed the Elks for many years. This trip we stay at many lodges, both large and very small. Parking lots to RV space with EW. All the lodges except were filled with wonderful people, except for 1 lodge, nice but people. Well Susan and I could take or leave that one.

Rocky Ford, Co small struggling, but large parking lot and people "Great"
Rapid City, SD Large RV spaces nice people
Bangor, Me. Large, parking lot, People "Great"
Saugus, Ma. in a dry camp area, People "Great".

These are just a few of the Elks we stayed at. We are now Moose members, we hope to enjoy there company
  • I don't know about the Eagles or Moose, but as an Elks member, yes many of the lodges have basic overnight RV parking. Its intended for short term parking while traveling Elks members are passing thru town. Most are just extensions of the parking lot with no hookups, some have partial hookups and a few have full hookups; the prices vary accordingly.

  • Here is a listing of Elks Lodges that provide RV overnight parking. We have stayed at many of them across the country. The sites range from dry camping to full-hookups depending on the individual lodge. You must be an Elks member to stay there.

  • I have heard that some Elks have RV parking, but I have visited at least 10 lodges in Georgia and none of them had RV parking. Maybe there is a listing somewhere that shows which lodges have parking?
  • There's an Elks lodge near me that I drive by on a pretty regular basis. I've seen one or two RVs in the lot from time to time, and it looks like they may have electric. All I know.
  • We are Elks members and use their offerings, all over the US. Some are just a place to park(no charge), some offer the basics(usually $5±) and then some, like one in Boulder City NV, actually have an RV park($15) as part of the lodge. You often find them in the darndest places, then when you get to a city, seldom do they have a place for you, mostly because of city ordinances. Many of the lodges also offer food, so it is real convenient. I will always say, DON'T join the Elks just to use their RV facilities, because that is not what the Elks are about.
