Just my opinion but during this busy time of year and since you aren't planning that far ahead, I'd call them instead of emailing places.
Back when we were planning we seriously considered Elk Meadow Resort and have heard good things about the place. There is also a KOA there that some reviewers really like. Can you get by without hookups? There are campgrounds within Rocky Mountain National Park....
