Facilities Near Flushing, NY

We trek annually up to NY to spend about 4 days at Flushing Meadows for the tennis. We recently bought a B+ 29' R-Vision Trail Lite and are thinking about using it next year instead of booking a hotel.

In researching New York it appears most of the state parks are about 50 miles out of town and have no water, electric, etc. I am not prepared for roughing it for 5 or 6 nights! Are there options closer than Liberty over in NJ?

Liberty Harbor is technically "over in NJ" but it's near a PATH subway station.

Croton Point park, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 914-862-5290. Convenient location, a bit pricey. Be aware, motorhomes are not allowed on PARKWAYS...Plan your route accordingly in New York State. Liberty Harbor RV Park, in Jersey City, NJ 201.516.7500 would be a better choice - 16 miles from Flushing Meadows. We've stayed here also and the park has been upgraded. Now it is a bit more than a parking lot with hookups; They have a dump station.

There is a County park at Croton Point that has hookups. Google maps says it is 39 miles and a 49 minutes drive.
